Kevin Rojas (ML PhD program, 2022-now)

An ICPC Central America champion (Universidad de Costa Rica), Kevin is our expert in Generative AI. He likes playing chess, rock climbing and salsa dancing!

Yuchen Zhu (ML PhD program, coadvised by Yongxin Chen, 2023-now)

A math major from NYU Shanghai and MA from Yale Stats&DS, Yuchen is expanding the frontier of GenAI and AI4Science. He loves road trips and everything of his furkids.

Wei Guo (ML PhD program, advised by Yongxin Chen and coadvised by Molei Tao, 2023-now)

A statistics major from PKU, Wei Guo is our expert in MCMC and diffusion model, working on both the theory and application sides. He is also interested in traveling, aviation, political science, and the French language.

Kijung Jeon (ML PhD program, 2024-now)

An EE and math double major from KAIST, Kijung is innovating sampling and diffusion models. He enjoys playing guitar and exercising.

Minrui Luo (ML PhD program, 2026-now)

A CS major from Yao Class at THU, Minrui is one of the most recent members of the group, interested in diffusion model, optimization, and RL. He likes classical music and platform diving.

Kaixu Zhang (Math PhD program, 2026-now)

A Math major from PKU, Kaixu is interested in optimization, diffusion model, and ML theory. He likes films and jazz music.

Christopher Linder (2025-now)

First a GT CS major with math minor and now continuing in the group as a GT ML master student, Christopher is interested in neural network optimization algorithms and ML theory. Outside of research he enjoys learning new violin concertos, running, and classic Russian literature.

Xunpeng Huang (Visiting Assistant Professor, 2026-now)

A USTC grad who did his PhD at HKUST, Xunpeng Huang works at the intersection of sampling, diffusion models, and optimization theory. He is also into hiking and biology.

Molei Tao (super senior undergrad, 2014-now)

Other than research, Molei enjoys classical music, nature, sports, and learning about new things!
